Kristan Training
Images International invited professional hairstylist, Kristan Sayers from K Bella Salon in Brighton, to train our team in some of the latest trends of the season. Kristan is an educator for the Neuma International Design Team and she brought her knowledge and talent to our salon as well as hosted our team at her own salon so they could shadow her work.
The training involved both men and women, some were hair wearers and some were having their natural hair styled. The main objective of the training was to become well versed in the most popular styles of today. For the men, the team learned to perfect a tight fade for both natural hair and with a hair addition.
The stylists based their design off of pictures the models brought with them. The women models chose styles with both short and long concaved layers. They practiced styles relevant to all ages from teens to adults.
Training is a crucial part of any salon environment. Styles are always changing and new techniques are being developed every season. Images International knows we must continue to update and stay fresh so our clients can feel confident at every visit they make at our salon.
Kristan also had some tips for the team, like protecting themselves from the wear and tear of the job by having upright posture and even having clients step up out of the chair so the stylist can see them at eye level rather than bending or hunching.
One tip our stylist, Megan, found valuable is to gain a very clear understanding of what her client expects from his or her service and to repeat it back and to them during an in depth consultation. Staying in constant communication through the duration of the service so that both the stylist and the guest are in complete understanding of everything that is going on can minimize unwanted results and boost the comfort level of both the stylist and our valued client.
